My Bio

I’m lucky to have had the opportunity to start my career as an educator in the K-5 world. Those 10 years have taught me many things including how to create curriculum, how to design lessons that engage learners and align with learning objectives. After lessons were implemented, the loop would continue with an evaluation of learning and correction to improve my teaching for the future.

When Covid-19 hit, I had to completely change my teaching from a collaborative in person setting, to one of a virtual asynchronous world. This challenge allowed me to use my Google Suite training and design new lessons and content. Through this experience I realized I wanted to dig deeper into this e-learning world. 

I wanted to know more, so I discovered the world of instructional design and e-learning development. The more I researched, the more I realized this is something I wanted to do. I applied at Generac and started my instructional design career there in January 2023.

During this time I have had the opportunity to author many courses that are live on Generac University. I have learned all about Learning Management Systems and partnering with SMEs across the business to develop training that meets the needs of the learners.
